Lover’s Park Valentine Gift Contest

Who will win the best gift a lover can give and the loved one can receive on this Valentines Day?

Cloyotie courted Lorraine after meeting her on the Nick-Steff College ball. Zchuby’s love life bloomed with his beloved Tnagele. The two elf friends showed their support for each other. The lovers went together touring around the Damsel’s Bush Lover’s Park. They settled on a bench after hearing a call, “Attention! Attention!” The lamps near their bench turned as speakers. “People in-love three days from mow is the celebration of hearts – the Valentines Day. The Lover’s Park will hold a competition for the best gift a lover can give and the loved one can receive on Valentines. Application forms for those who are interested are now available at the Center Square Emporium, in the park entrance and on the gates of Lover’s Theater and also at Heartbreak office. Three silver coins will be collected upon sign-up. Join! And have the best gift a lover can give and the loved one can receive on this Valentines Day.”

Cloyotie and Lorraine separated from Zchuby and Tnagele. Cloyotie accompanied Lorraine to her house. On their way – the wind blew heavily. It blew on the mahoganies. The fruits of the trees gently fell off their seeds and swirled down like rain to them. “So romantic,” thought Lorraine. “Aha!” Cloyotie exclaimed, “I’ve got an idea!” Meanwhile, Zchuby was still thinking about his gift, “I wonder what my gift would be.” Someone knocked on the door. “Oh it’s you!” said Zchuby, “Have you reflected yet?” he asked Cloyotie. Cloyotie took off his hat and leave his boots on the mat. “Yes! And my gift is not a thing but a scene,” Cloyotie answered. “What do you mean?” asked Zchuby. “It should be a surprise and a secret,” said Cloyotie.
“Oh come on! I should know it!”
“You’re a copycat. Why should I tell you then?”
“You can trust me.”
Cloyotie whispered something to Zchuby. “I think I’m losing,” Zchuby disappointed.

The other day, Zchuby could not still think of something special. “What should my gift be?” The question keeps on repeating. “What should it look like? What should I do to make it special from the other gifts?” Zchuby went to Tnagele’s house. “Pssst! Pssst! Tnagele!” whispered Zchuby. Tnagele saw Zchuby and she opened her window. “What?” she asked. Zchuby raised his hand and closed and opened his fingers. His arms signaled lunch. Tnagele thumbs up as an approval. Zchuby raised his arm again and drew circle on air. “At the Cedar Tree Circle?” Tnagele thought to herself and drew also a circle on air. Zchuby thumbs up and nodded yes. Tnagele waved her arms goodbye and Zchuby did the same thing. Mrs. Cesy went out of their house and saw Zchuby. “Why are you waiving your arms?” she asked Zchuby and viewed Tnagele’s window. Tnagele immediately bowed down and hid her self. “Uh, nothing. Flies! There are a lot of flies flying around here!” Zchuby said.
“I can’t see any flies flying around here.”
“They’ve just flown a second ago?”
“I see,” Mrs. Cesy nodded.
“Sorry Mrs. Cesy for the disturbance. I think you should paint your fences anew. Got to go!” Zchuby walked straight back to his house. Mrs. Cesy checked the fences, “But it was painted two days ago?” she thought.

The mayor went back inside their house and went to Tnagele’s room. She knocked on the door. “Oh no! What should I tell her?” Tnagele worried. She opened the door slowly and said, “Sorry mama, but…” Mrs. Cesy entered, “ I am going to attend a meeting. Lunch is ready but I will not eat here.” “Yes!” thought Tnagele. “You should go now mama or you will be late for that appointment,” Tnagele recommended. “Yes! And I am going now,” Mrs. Cesy kissed her daughter.

Zchuby and Tnagele met at the Cedar Tree Circle. After lunch, they went for a carnival ride. They ride on the elevator to reach the treetop and paid for their tickets and settled on one of the floating giant leaves. Their leaf went slowly down. Zchuby and Tnagele looked at each other smiling. Zchuby kissed Tnagele on her right cheek. “I think I’ve found my gift!” Zchuby thought to himself.

Zchuby went home and told Cloyotie about his gift. “What if we fused our ideas?” thought Cloyotie, “We both fly on air and at the same time – we’ll pour mine.” “Great idea!” Zchuby agreed. “This Valentines – we will have the very best gift a lover can give and the loved one can receive,” said Cloyotie. They both nodded and smiled. “Where should we rent?” asked Zchuby. “I know someone. You continue making the paper and I will be right back,” Cloyotie went out to rent. Zchuby and Cloyotie finished their gifts the whole night.

Valentines day, the participants exhibited their gifts at the Park Center. Zchuby and Cloyotie teamed up and they were number 18. The seventeenth contestant showed his gift. It was a ring. “So usual,” commented one of the judges. The announcer stated, “Number 18 participant, please be here on stage.” “Over here!” Zchuby shouted. The crowd raised their heads up on air and they saw a heart-shaped hot air balloon. Cloyotie poured five bags of paper propellers. The thing the two had been doing the whole night. The propellers swirled down slowly on air to the ground. “Romantic,” thought Lorraine seeing the propellers poured like rain. She remembered the mahogany seeds. She caught one propeller. There was a message written on it, “For my beloved Lorraine – Cloyotie and for my beloved Tnagele – Zchuby,” she read and smiled and showed it to Tnagele.

The thirty-two participants finished displaying their gifts and came the announcement of the winners. “And so the contest was finished and we have noticed all the gifts showed by the contestants beautifully handcrafted, made, what can I say?” The announcer declared the winners starting from the fifth until second, “And the best gift – number 18! Zchuby and Cloyotie’s balloon and propellers!” the announcer declared. Everyone clapped and the Mayor Cesy awarded their trophies. “Now I see!” said Mrs. Cesy as she gave Zchuby’s trophy. “Where are the flies?” she asked Zchuby. “Gone?” Zchuby answered. “Hey Zchuby! Came down the stage. Let’s celebrate!” shouted Cloyotie.
